Dorothy Guidry

CROWLEY – Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 for Dorothy Richard Guidry, 65, who died Monday, July 14, 2008 at American Legion Hospital in Crowley.

A Rosary will be said on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

Burial will take place in Abshire Cemetery in rural Kaplan.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. on Tuesday and last until 10 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Wednesday with viewing until time of services.

She is survived by her mother, Amy Broussard Richard of Crowley; two daughters, Regina G. and husband Henry Falcon of Crowley and Renee’ G. and husband Chad Meyers of Crowley; one son, Reed D. and wife Denisa Guidry of Lafayette; two sisters, Carol and husband LeRoy Trahan of Crowley and Sheila and husband Michael Dronet of Crowley; and 10 grandchildren, Blaze and Brice Nepveux, Megan, Henry and Caitlynn Falcon, Joshua and Jacob Guidry, and Bradley Chasity and Madelynn Meyers.

She is preceded in death by one grandson, Trent Meyers; her husband, Wilbert Guidry, Jr.; her father, Lucien Richard; and one niece, Sharice Dronet.

Pallbearers will be David Trahan, Chad Meyers, Clint Mire, Jason Trahan, LeRoy Trahan and Michael Dronet.

Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley has been entrusted with the arrangements.
