Fatal shooting in Crowley overnight

According to reports, a festival "after party" turned deadly Saturday night after a shooting at the intersection of Avenue B and Second Street (U.S. Highway 90).
Reports indicate that large crowds of people were outside of locations when several shots were fired. Two people were struck, one with minor injuries and a second with fatal injuries.
"With Rice Festival closing earlier, our agency along with other agencies assisting during the weekend have been patrolling the streets due to the large crowds for after parties, " stated Chief KP Gibson.
As officers arrived on scene, there were large groups of people in the area.
"Our officers spoke to a lot of people who were present during this incident, however claim to have not seen anything. We need people to get involved to resolve this crime and similar cases. Law enforcement cannot do it alone, " stated Gibson.
Motive has not yet been determined.
