John Raymond Meche, Sr.

Lafayette - Memorial services were held at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 3 p.m. for John Raymond Meche, Sr., 65, who died Tuesday, March 24, 2009.

Surviving are daughter, Tina Leger and husband Mark of Lafayette; son, John Meche and wife Tammy of Lafayette; grandchildren, Jared Leger of Lafayette, Derrick Leger of Lafayette, Kevin Meche of Lafayette, and Brandon Meche of Lafayette; great-grandchild, Ava Leger of Lafayette; and brother, Wayne Meche of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Credeur Meche; one son, Allen Meche; and one brother, Patrick Meche.

He was born Tuesday, November 30, 1943 in Mire, son of the late Horace Meche and the late Lelia Dugas.

Friends were received 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne.
