Book signing set at City Hall Sept. 19

Ann Mire will be available to discuss and sign “Images of America: Crowley” at two book signings on Friday, Sept. 19:

• Crowley City Hall, 425 N. Parkerson Ave., 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; and

• The Grand Opera House of the South, 505 N. Parkerson Ave.

The City Hall signing will include a reception for Mire, and the public is invited to join the festivities. Light refreshments will be served.

The signing at the opera house is being held in conjunction with the opening of the venue’s 2014-15 season, and tickets to that evening’s Dr. John show are required for entry.

The book will be available for purchase at both signings.

It will also be available at several area businesses, as well as through Pointe de l’Eglise: Acadia Genealogical and Historical Society. A copy can be reserved through the historical society by calling the Acadia Parish Public Library at 788-1880.

All royalties from the sale of the book, which will retail for $21.99, will go to the historical society.
