Benoit, Guidry engaged to wed Aug. 8

 

Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Benoit of Crowley, along with Mrs. Carolyn Guidry of Rayne, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Joelle Elizabeth Benoit of Crowley and David Michael Guidry of Rayne. 

The couple will be wed by Fr. Joseph Breaux on Friday, Aug. 8, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Romero Sr. of Crowley and the late Shirley Romero, and Mr. James Benoit Sr. of Vinton and the late Marion Benoit.

Joelle graduated from Crowley High School before attending McNeese State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

She is presently a student at Texas Christian University, where she is a candidate for a Doctor of Nursing Practice - Anesthesia degree.

The groom’s father is the late J. Russell “Rusty” Guidry Jr. of Rayne. His maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lawrence of New Iberia, and his paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell Guidry of Rayne. 

The groom is a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in business management. He is currently employed as a pilot with Executive Aircraft Charter Services of Lafayette.

Following their wedding, the couple plans to reside in Rayne.
