Hargrave, Thibodeaux set Nov. 8 wedding date

Alvin and Kathy Thibodeaux of Egan and Lynn Benoit Hargrave of Morse are pleased to announce the engagement and pending marriage of their children, Amber Nicole Thibodeaux of Egan and Blair Adam Hargrave of Morse.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Obray and Eula Abshire Sonnier, and the late Frank and Ada Abshire Thibodeaux, all of Crowley.

Amber graduated from Iota High School in 2005. She was selected as Miss Crowley in 2006 before being named the International Rice Festival Queen in 2007. Amber earned an associate’s degree from Louisiana State University–Eunice in 2008 and graduated from the Aveda Institute–Lafayette in 2010. She currently works as a cosmetologist at La Salon Jolie and is a member of the Crowley Professional Women’s Club.

The prospective groom’s father is the late Burton Hargrave. His maternal grandparents are the late Elie and Eula Benoit of Morse. His paternal grandparents are the late Benjamin and Effie Hargrave of Morse.

Blair is 2006 graduate of Midland High School and a 2012 graduate of SOWELA Technical Community College in Lake Charles. He is presently employed by Crosstex Energy Services in Eunice.

Amber and Blair will be wed during a 7 p.m. Nuptial Mass on Friday, Nov. 8. Fr. Neil McNeil and Fr. Randy Moreau will concelebrate the Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau.

Following their wedding, the couple will reside in Crowley.
