Hundley, Richard wed at St. Joseph

Couple to reside in Scott following wedding trip to St. Thomas

Margaret Mary Hundley and Phillip Wayne Richard were united in marriage on Friday, Jan. 8, at seven o’clock in the evening at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne.
The ceremony was officiated by Monsignor Russell Harrington and Father Kevin Bordelon. A reception was held after at The Warehouse.
Margaret is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Patrick Hundley Sr. of Mowata. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Hundley of Mowata and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Cook Sr. of Rayne. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Wayne Richard of Mire. He is the grandson of the late Mr. Frank Richard and Mrs. Morgice Richard of Mire and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Fontenot of Mire.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a beautiful ivory A-line gown. The dress featured a classic sweetheart neckline with an elegant ivory charmeuse sash at the waist. A soft scalloped lace overlay composed the bodice of the delicate gown and flowed into a soft English net. A stunning semi-cathedral train finished off the dress. The bride’s look was made complete with a cathedral veil that boasted an Alençon lace trim.
Annie Hundley, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Leah Hundley, sister of the bride, and Jeanne Marie Maraist, Mary Katherine Griffith, Brooke Hundley and Melissa Lalande, all friends of the bride.
Logan Richard, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Koby Fontenot, William Thibodeaux, Joshua Richard and Scott Lopez, all cousins of the groom, and Patrick Hundley, brother of the bride. Ushering the guests in were Jacob Mouton, cousin of the bride, and Kyle Ramsey, friend of the groom.
Serving as flower girl was Abigail Inzerella, cousin of the bride. Ring bearers were Coleman Inzerella, cousin of the bride, and Xander Richard, son of the groom. Cecile Mouton, godmother of the bride, Josette Cook Surratt, aunt of the bride, and Patricia Lopez, godmother of the groom, served as lecturers during the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She is currently employed by the Acadia Parish School Board and is a teacher at Mire Elementary.
The groom is a graduate of Rayne High School and attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he was a member of the ULL Powerlifting Team. He is currently employed at Moss Motors.
After a wedding trip to St. Thomas, the couple will reside in Scott.
