Brittany Kay Kidder and Tesha Kay Theriot

Kidder, Theriot planning December commitment date

Brittany Kay Kidder of Crowley and Tesha Kay Theriot of Rayne have announced their engagement and intention to affirm their partnership in a civil commitment ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 7.

Brittany is the daughter of Sharon K. and Hilrae “Tiger” Mott of Crowley, and Diane B. and Douglas Kidder Jr. of Iota. Her maternal grandparents are Adeline Primeaux Trahan of Estherwood and the late Oscar Trahan, and her paternal grandparents are Douglas Kidder Sr. of Crowley and the late Rita Kidder.

Brittany is a 2006 graduate of Crowley High School, where she was a four-year member of the Ladies and Gents color guard team. She is presently employed by the Lafayette Parish Communications District as a 911 telecommunicator.

Tesha is the daughter of Earl “Butch” Theriot of Rayne and the late Tina Theriot. Her maternal grandparents are Mary Dorothy and Andrew Jeanise of Crowley. Her paternal grandfather is the late Leonstein Theriot of Donaldsonville.

Tesha graduated from Rayne High School in 1998. While there she was a four-year member of the Lady Wolves softball team, receiving several awards, including All-District and All-Acadia Parish. She is currently employed as a deputy with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The Reverend Daniel Latour will officiate the commitment ceremony. Following their union, the couple will reside in Church Point.
