Maddie, Bischoff set March 14 wedding date

Lauren Elizabeth Maddie and Scott Joseph Bischoff, both of Lafayette, have announced that they are engaged and committed to be wed on the evening of Saturday, March 14.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Denise and Joseph Maddie Jr. of Crowley She is the granddaughter of Violet Dugan of Crowley and the late Warren “Buddy” Dugan, and of Bernice Maddie of Melville and the late Joseph Maddie Sr.

Lauren is a 2004 graduate of Crowley High School and a 2008 graduate of McNeese State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. She is presently employed as a mental health specialist.

The prospective groom is the son of Faye and John Bischoff of Eunice. His maternal grandparents are the late Alice and Clements Sittig, and his paternal grandparents are the late Ola Mae and Bernard Bischoff, all of Eunice.

Scott graduated from Eunice High School in 2003 before attending Louisiana State University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering in 2011. He is currently employed with Baker Hughes as a field engineer.

Reverend Charlie Crews will officiate the 5 p.m. nuptial ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Crowley.

Following their marriage, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
