May 30 wedding date set for Hoffpauir, Riche’

Gwen and Dennis Hoffpauir of Egan are happy to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Shelbee Marie Hoffpauir of Egan, to Brennan Jules Riche’ of Lafayette.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Verna and Daniel Dugas of Lyons Point, and of Audrey and C.W. Hoffpauir of Crowley and the late Juliana Hoffpauir.
Shelbee graduated from Crowley High School before attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education and was a member of Ragin’ Cajun Powerlifting. She is employed as a teacher with the Evangeline Parish School Board.
The prospective groom is the son of Matthea LaCour Rabalais of New Roads and Dwayne Paul Riche’ of Cottonport. He is the grandson of Lee Ann and Delmayne “Bubber” LaCour Sr. of New Roads and Mercedes Cazelot of Cottonport.
Brennan attended Marksville High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. He was also a member of Ragin’ Cajun Powerlifting.
The couple will be wed on the afternoon of Saturday, May 30. Fr. Clint Trahan and Deacon Thomas Sommers will officiate the 1 p.m. nuptials at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Lyons Point.
Following their wedding, Shelbee and Brennan will reside in Dallas, Texas, where Brennan will pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Parker University.
