‘Pink It Up!’ at the Annual Breast Health Symposium in Lafayette
This Wednesday, Oct. 8, will see the annual Breath Health Symposium “Pink It Up!” return to the Cajundome Convention Center in Lafayette.
The 21st annual event is an inspirational evening of survivorship which will feature a breast cancer survivor fashion show, breast-health-related experts and vendors and keynote speaker Leslie Mouton.
Mouton is a 1988 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is currently the anchor for “Good Morning San Antonio.” As a breast cancer survivor, she has shared her story on “Good Morning America,” “Weekend Today,” “Oprah,” “Inside Edition” and “Prime Time.”
The event is hosted by the Institute for Breast Health, Inc., a non-profit organization comprised of area women dedicated to raising community awareness for breast cancer and its prevention and treatment. As part of its expanded Mission, the Institute will be awarding a nursing scholarship to a deserving UL nursing student this year.
The event will start at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 and are available at the Cajundome box office and all Ticketmaster locations.
