Acadia Chapter DAR hears of ‘Early Crowley History’ film

CROWLEY - The Acadia Parish Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution held its Oct. 8 meeting at the Acadia Parish Library with 17 members and guests in attendance.
Regent Kay Fruge’ called the meeting to order. The opening ritual was read by Denise Arnaud, chaplain. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Camille Reed, and the America’s Creed was recited. Prospective members Trudy Patterson, Jacki Schoate and Jean Gaspard were introduced to the group.
The speaker for the meeting, Ann Mire, gave a program on the latest historic film entitled “Early Crowley History,” telling the group about the film and the process she went through to produce it.
It was announced that the chapter had received several awards, including Chapter Achievement Level 2 for 2013 and 2014, Certificate of Website Award and Celebrate America! Serving its Community, 1st Constitution Week Report Submitted in LSDAR 2014 .
Upon close of the meeting refreshments were enjoyed by members and their guests.
