Plans made for upcoming events, programs of new ladies group

 

The Mesdames d’ Rayne, derived from the enjoyed Rayne Remembered site of Facebook, gathered for their inaugural meeting and day of fun on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Union Hall in Rayne.

 

Ladies were attired in their vintage wear and shared in fellowship and "culture" of days gone by.

 

Ladies in attendance were junior member Tatum Hill, vice-president Ashleigh Detraz, project manager Kathleen Trahan Lantier, treasurer Margaret McGee Romero, secretary Virginia Benoit Trahan, media representarive Amy Foreman, president Monique Domingue Moreland, special events coordinator Ginger Fall Doucet, membership coordinator Brenda Stutes LaGrone, chaplain Dayna Werner LeBleu, historian Elizabeth LeBleu, Judy Sonnier, Evette Marsh, Natalie Quebodeaux, Karen Quebodeaux Thibodeaux, Beth Faulk Stack, Mona Henry LeBlanc, Tricia LeBlanc Granger, Alicia Arceneaux LeJeune, Teri Kibodeaux Peltier, Tina Kibodeaux Watson, Jeanne Vincent Louviere, Linda Navarre Walker, Cynthia Morgan Deville, business liason Karen Kibodeaux Franzel and community liason Yvette Wyatt Salvatierra.

 

Just as Mesdames is a spin-off of Rayne Remembered, and the group includes ladies of all ages with hopes to share their talents to do good work in their hometown. 

 

Mesdames has already made plans for a number of activities and programs for the City of Rayne.
