Birthday party honors Stella Woods

The Rayne home of Tom and Rhonda Broussard served as the setting for a birthday party held in honor of the first birthday of little Miss Stella Theresa Woods, who turned one year on Jan. 5, 2015.
Stella is the daughter of Jordan and Lauren B. Woods of The Woodlands, Texas.
Her maternal grandparents are Tom and Rhonda Broussard of Rayne.
Paternal grandparents are Karen Woods and Chris Woods, both of New Orleans.
Great-grandparents are Melba Olinger of Rayne and Helen Trenticosta of New Orleans.
The “Up, Up and Away” theme included hot air balloon decorations with guests presented a white chocolate hot air balloon on a stick as a thank you for attending her special day.
Stella was treated to a “smash” cake of pale pink icing topped with her initials made by her mother for Stella to dig into.
Guests were served sandwiches, boudin, cheese and grapes, seven layer dip, vegetable tray, fruit, brownies, cupcakes, a a special birthday cake, a white confection with half cookies and cream filling and half amaretto filling decorated with two balloons, pink piping and scrolling on the sides.
