Plant & Pray Garden Club tours Harmon Nursery

The Plant & Pray Garden Club of Crowley held its regular monthly meeting, hosted by Angelique Credeur, Audrey McBride and Kathleen Gilder, on Thursday, Oct. 9, beginning with a tour of Harmon Nursery. Martha Harmon, owner of the nursery, spoke to the women on the benefits of organic fertilizers and advised that now is the time for planting woody ornamentals, such as fruit trees and shrubs, as well as lettuce, kale, spinach, and mustard greens. Following the nursery visit, the members met at Fezzo’s for a short business meeting.
