Rosary group enjoys Christmas breakfast

THE POST-SIGNAL / Howie Dennis

The Rosary Group recently was treated to a delicious Christmas breakfast, prepared by Donna Corley and special friend Sybil Nickel, at Corley’s home in Crowley. Enjoying the event were, first row from left, Betty Faulk, Sarah Bercier, Norma Dill, Nettie Romero, Shirley Griffin, Dot Simon; second row, Joan Hoffpauer, Willie Mae Dailey, Mary Agnes Fabacher, Sally LeJeune, Tee Moody, Elaine Robison, Honey Reiners; third row, Rose Millet, Phyllis Leonards, Georgie Petitjean, Nickel, Corley, Brucie Landry, Barbara Guidry, Dianna Breaux and Ida Guidry. The group meets every Tuesday at a member’s home. A long-time member of the group, Cecilia Zaunbrecher, could no longer host the gathering because of her being in the nursing home. Because of this, Corley volunteered to host in her place and this has become an annual affair. After the group recited the rosary, praying for their personal intentions and those of their family friends, a short Christmas story was delivered by Ida Guidry. Surrounded by beautiful traditional Christmas decorations, breakfast was served on Christmas china along with hot coffee and juice. Also enjoying this wonderful feast was Fr. Mark Miley.
