Pro boxing card slated for EVD, ‘Bells Will Be Ringing’ is Friday

OPELOUSAS - Get ready to sit back, relax and enjoy the absolute best night of live professional boxing ever presented by Boxcar Promotions on Friday, Dec. 6, at Evangeline Downs.

The main event of the night will pit Rayne’s own “Rock Hard Mighty” Mason Menard (26-1, 19 KO’s) against Mexican amateur champion Edgar Martinez (14-5, 8 KO’s).

Also on the card billed as “Bells Will Be Ringing” will be three heavyweight fights. New Orleans native Alvin Varmall will make his professional debut against Joe Rice, while Danny Batchelde will take on Jamall Woods of Arkansas. Chris Singleton will also be on the bill taking on Levan Ghvanichava of Poti, GA, and Hamilton Ventura will meet Garrett Wilson.
