GRADUATE RECEIVES AWARD - Eric Miller displays the 2014 Outstanding Major of the Year Award presented by the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance during the national convention recently held in St. Louis.

Eric John Miller of Rayne, a 2014 spring graduate at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a major in education, was recently selected to participate in the American alliance for health, physical education, recreation and dance (AAHPERD) as a 2014 outstanding major of the year.
The event was held in St. Louis during the national convention. Miller was selected among all UL Lafayette senior kinesiology majors.
The 2010 Rayne High graduate also served as an assistant basketball coach at Rayne High all four years of college.
He graduated this month magna cum laude and has been employed as a physical education teacher at LJ Alleman Middle School in Lafayette since May 5, 2014.
Eric is the son of Daniel and Theresa Simoneaux of Rayne and Terry and Mildred Miller of Crowley.
