RHS, ND Homecomings set
As announced by faculty chairperson Beth Goins, Rayne High School’s 2014 Homecoming will be celebrated the week of Sept. 15-19, complete with the traditional programs and events associated with homecoming week.
In addition to daily activities the annual Homecoming Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, following its usual route from Central Kindergarten and ending at Rayne High School where the annual Powder Puff Game will be enjoyed at 6:30 p.m.
On Friday, Sep. 19, classmates from the graduating classes ending in 4’s will be honored during the annual Alumni Reception at 10 a.m. that morning in the school’s library. The new Homecoming Queen will be crowned later that evening during halftime activities when the Wolves will host Abbeville at Wolf Stadium.

Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish will celebrate Homecoming the week of Oct. 6-10. The Classes of 1975, 1985, 1995, and 2005 will be honored at events and the homecoming football game on Oct. 10, at which time the new Homecoming Queen will be crowned during halftime activities when the Pios will host West St. Mary.
Instead of the annual Chili Cookoff, the first annual ND Gumbo Cookoff and Pep Rally will be held on the school campus on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. immediately following the Homecoming Parade.
