Tanner Wilson named Rayne High Homecoming Queen

During ceremonies Friday evening, September 19, Tanner Wilson was crowned the 2014 Rayne High Homecoming Queen among 10 seniors.
Making the presentation was last year’s honoree, Kaitlyn Thibodeaux, assisted by RHS principal Wendall Prudhomme, crownbearer Owen Arceneaux and flower girl Ellah Barousse.
Owen is the son of Chad and Stephanie Arceneaux (Chad is a 1994 RHS graduate). Ellah is the daughter of Jordan and Jordan Barousse, both 2004 alumnus. Representing the RHS Student Council was parliamentarian Evan Alleman
The presentation was made as Homecoming Week activities came to a close during halftime activities of the Wolves-Abbeville football game at Wolf Stadium with the Wolves victorious.
Tanner is the 17-year-old daughter of Tanya Evans and Jerry Wilson of Rayne. She is an honor graduate with a 3.95 grade point average, member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and excells on the Lady Wolves’ basketball and track teams. Tanner was escorted during the ceremonies by her father.
Completing the Homecoming Court of young ladies were: Shelli Alleman, daughter of Blake and Kelli Alleman; Caroline Bergeron, daughter of Frank and Dawn Bergeron; Madison David, daughter of Todd and Sherrie David; Jacie Fontenot, daughter of Jamie and Ricky Fontenot; Whitney Fontenot, daughter of Scott and Mona Fontenot; Tristan Mouton, granddaughter of James and Judy Mouton; Cecily Schexnyder, daughter of Carl and Denise Schexnyder; Ashley Thibodeaux, daughter of Darrin and Julie Thibodeaux; and Madison Vidal, daughter of Lance and Grady Arceneaux..
Graduates of classes ending in “4” were honored during a number of events and programs held throughout the week.
