Crowley man arrested on narcotics charges

Crowley police have arrested a Crowley man on multiple counts of narcotics violations. 

The arrest stems from an operation in the area of West 11th Street and Kilmer Alley on Dec. 2. 

“While working this operation, narcotics agents stopped an individual. During this investigation, it was determined that the subject had illegal narcotics in his possession,” stated Chief KP Gibson.

Agents recovered nearly 12 grams of marijuana, 17 ecstasy pills, drug paraphernalia and currency. 

Arrested was Orlando Lewis, 23, of Crowley. Lewis was booked for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute ecstasy, monies derived from drug proceeds and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lewis was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.

Lewis is currently on probation for a February 2014 arrest for possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Probation and Parole, who assisted in the operation, will review consider revoking his probation.
