Country Sunshine Band entertains SWLA War Veterans

On Monday, October 6, 2008, the Country Sunshine Band from Sulphur, La. entertained the Veterans of Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jennings with a little gospel, country, oldies and music from the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s.

The Veterans who celebrated their October birthdays were delighted with a special treat-- a serenade by Mrs. Ethel to the tune of “16 Candles”.

Also performing was a very large redhead who danced and cut up with the Veterans during the performance of Harper Valley PTA.

Country Sunshine has been together for two years, they are all retired, and their ministry is performing for nursing homes all over the southwest.

Members of the band are David LeDoux, Bill Boyd and Ethel Istre.
