Weekend pageants name new Frog Festival queens

Not one, but four beautiful young ladies were named new Rayne Frog Festival royalty on Saturday, March 14, during the 2015 Frog Festival Queen’s Pageants. The annual events were again held at the Rayne Civic Center.
Crowned the 2015 Rayne Frog Festival Queen was Carly Peyton Chaumont, 20-year-old daughter of Christine and Brad Chaumont of Turkey Creek. She is a sophomore at LSU-Alexandria and was sponsored for the pageant by The Personal Touch Wedding and Design.
Carly was crowned by the outgoing queen, Ashlee Guilbeau, and presented her awards by Rayne Frog Association Pageant Chairman Angie Broussard and Association member Roy Credeur.
Frog Festival
Teen Queen
Gabrielle Guilbeau, 15-year-old daughter of Clyde and Karen Guilbeau of Lafayette, was named the new Frog Festival Teen Queen during the weekend pageants. She is a sophomore at Lafayette High School and was crowned by last year’s honoree, Caroline Bergeron. Making her presentations were Rayne Frog Association Pageant Chairman Angie Broussard and Association member Nikki Link.
Teen 1st Maid was Madison Huffman, 16-year-old daughter of Jennifer Vincent of Creole.
Corinne Doucet was named Teen 2nd Maid. She is the 15-year-old daughter of Patrick and Desiree Doucet of Rayne.
Frog Festival Ms. Queen
Dana Dupree Fontenot of Rayne was crowned the 2015-2016 Frog Festival Ms. Queen to complete the evening of pagentry. She was sponsored for the event by Kam Production and her family. She was crowned by the outgoing royalty, Haley Willis, and was awarded by Rayne Frog Association Pageant Chairman Angie Broussard and Frog Festival Parade Chairman Jeremy Lavergne.
The 31-year-old beauty is married to Lance Fontenot and is the mother of Logen Fontenot. She is employed as the Chief Operations Officer of Young Holding LLC as a licensed life insurance agent.
Named Ms. 1st Maid was Dontrell Williams-McGee of Hammond, while Haley Ridgel of Covington was named 2nd Maid.
Completing the Ms. Queen court members were Sarah Cormier of Rayne and Dawn Clostio of Abbeville.
Frog Festival Junior Queen
During a morning pageant held at the Civic Center, Kailey Blair Hollier was crowned 2015-2016 Jr. Frog Festival Queen.
Kailey is the 11-year-old daughter of Paula and Sammy Hollier of Rayne and a sixth grade student at Armstrong Middle School. She was crowned by last year’s honoree, Payton Broussard.
Named 1st Maid was Andree-Kate Bullock, 10-year-old daughter of Dustin and Dana Bullock of Church Point.
Named 2nd Maid was Ahni Mire, 12-year-old daughter of Denise and Bob Mire of Abbeville.
The pageant was again sponsored by ladies of the Preceptor Alpha Chi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi for young ladies 10, 11 and 12 years old.

The newly crowned 2015-16 Miss Rayne, Madison Vidal, welcomed everyone to the City of Rayne and extended a special invitation to everyone to attend the 2015 Frog Festival this May.
Also in attendance were approximately 100 visiting queens from throughout the state, each representing her fair and festival.
Judging the morning pageants were Nicky McIntosh, Richard McIntosh and Caroline Porter. Judges for the afternoon pageants were Brooke Henry Rinaudo of Shreveport, Tiffany Wing Pedigo of Eunice, and Jesse Hernandez of Maurice.
