‘Greetings from Levy Park’ to debut March 20

Music series is free to the public
“We want to create an atmosphere that is unlike any other existing event in the area. That’s the primary reason why we chose Levy Park as a venue." - Crowley businessman Kyle Gordon (via press release)

“Greetings from Levy Park,” a four-part music and art series that will be coming to Crowley this spring, was not created to simply showcase the city of Crowley.

“We want to create an atmosphere that is unlike any other existing event in the area,” said Crowley businessman Kyle Gordon in a press release. “That’s the primary reason why we chose Levy Park as a venue.

The four shows currently being planned will feature four different types of music and different artists at each event.

“The objective of each and every event is to create a fun new experience for all to enjoy,” said Gordon.

Each of the concerts will be offered for free to the public via sponsorships and beverage sales.

“With the ‘in the park’ atmosphere, we want to attract attendees of all ages, where the children may play on the park playground and the after-work crowd can wind down,” Gordon stated. “The vision is to have an environment where everyone can take in the beauty of the park, gain exposure to music, art or bands that traditionally wouldn’t visit Crowley and enjoy the company of others.”

The events are slated for the 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. time slot which allows time for neighboring communities to travel to Crowley. The show would end just before dusk. The dates selected for the series are March 20, April 10, May 1 and May 22.

Greetings from Levy Park is currently seeking sponsorships for the four-part series. Those seeking information about sponsoring the event or the event itself are encouraged to visit www.facebook.com/greetingsfromlevy.
