Chamber board members selected

Habetz, Miller, Spell to serve three-year terms

The Crowley Chamber of Commerce has announced the new members selected for its 2014-2015 Board of Directors.

Jill Habetz of E.L. Habetz Builders; Cynthia Miller of First National Bank, and Kevin Spell of Spell House Raising & Leveling were chosen to serve on the board, each committing to a three-year term which will officially begin in July.

The new directors will serve along with returning board members Holly Broussard, St. Michael’s Elementary School; Isabella deLaHoussaye, individual member; Kerry Gibson, Gibson PC; Justin Lee, Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home; Jennifer Mixon, Acadia Parish Farm Bureau and Robert Trahan, Falcon Rice Mill.

President and CEO Amy Thibodeaux expressed her gratitude to the board, saying, “These new directors, along with our returning members, will bring their expertise and resources together to help promote the business community and the Crowley area while working to make the Chamber a stronger organization.”

The Chamber welcomes these new board members and will recognize outgoing directors at the Annual Banquet, scheduled for Thursday, May 8, at the Grand Opera House of the South.

Outgoing board members include Chairman Gene Williams, MetLife Insurance and Financial Services; Carlinna Bertrand, Broussard, Poché, Lewis and Breaux; and Henry Helo, Carmichael’s Cashway Pharmacy.

In addition to honoring the board of directors, the Chamber will honor a Business Person of the Year, Humanitarian of the Year, and Outstanding Young Citizens.  For more information, please call 337-788-0177.
