Chamber Board nominees announced

3 to be elected

Members of the Crowley Chamber of Commerce will be electing three board members for the 2016-17 election.
The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to serve a three year term. Nominees include:
•.Jay Domingue, business developer at Reach4 Communications.
Domingue has been a member of the Chamber since 1992, where he has participated in Business After Hours networking events. He is a Phi Kappa Theta Louisiana Omicron Alumni Association Board member, a founding member of OneAcadia, and a Eucharistic minister and lector at St. Michael Catholic Church.
In 1988, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in mathematics from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Domingue is a member of the Wireless Internet Service Provider Association (WISPA) and the Federation of Internet Service Providers of the Americas (FISPA).
He is married to Donna Gonthier of Crowley and they have three children: Emma, Ellen and Erin.
•.Scott Lowry, financial advisor at Edward Jones.
Lowry has been a member of the Chamber since taking over the office six years ago. He has participated and volunteer for Chamber events such as Business After Hours, Gumbo Cook-Off, Golf Classic, and Farmers’ Appreciation Dinner. He is also a past Leadership EXCEL participant.
Lowry is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist, Edward Jones Regional Field Trainer and mentor to new advisors. He is a member of the UL Alumni Association, St. Michaels Catholic Church, and a past Crowley Town Club director (2011-2014).
He currently volunteers for Greetings from Levy Park and the Krewe of Town Reveler’s Mardi Gras Ball. He is a graduate of Ponchatoula High School and received a Bachelors Degree in finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette during which he competed on the ULL track team.
He is married to Brooklyn Morgan, and they have one daughter, Vivian, and two dogs.
•.Melinda Malmay, assistant vice president and branch manager of St. Martin Bank in Crowley.
Malmay has been a member of the Chamber since 2007. Her Chamber involvement includes serving on the Chamber board from 2008-11, hosting Business After Hours, serving on the Revolving Loan Committee, participating in the Acadia Parish Career Expo, and sponsoring Ribbons & Rice. She is also a past participant of Leadership EXCEL.
Malmay’s other community sponsorships include the International Rice Festival, Greetings from Levy Park, OneAcadia, the Grand Opera House’s Eve of Eve and the Acadia General Hospital Gala. She has been a Rotarian since 2007, where she is currently serving as community service chairman and was named a Paul Harris Fellow in 2014.
She is a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she has served as a past church elder and deacon and treasurer for 20 years.
Malmay is a graduate of Crowley High School, LSUE in marketing and management, USL with a paralegal certificate, banking school, and LBA Commercial Lending School.
She is married to William Malmay, and they have one daughter, Megan Malmay.
•.Jeremy Patin, financial advisor at First Investment Services.
Patin has been a member of the Crowley Chamber since joining the group in 2014. As an active Chamber member, he regularly attends Business After Hours, Cook-Off, Farmer’s Appreciation Dinner and Golf Classic. He is the upcoming Crowley Rotary Club president-elect, board member of Saints Parent Club, Krewe of Town Revelers and past board member of CASA of South Louisiana.
Patin volunteers at the Krewe of Town Revelers Carnival Ball, International Rice Festival Hospitality Committee and as a coach for the Crowley Recreation Department.
He graduated from Crowley High School and went on to earn a degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in finance, risk management/insurance.
He is married to Kasey Habetz Patin, and they have three children — Julia, Christian, and Amelia.
•.John Stefanski, attorney at Edwards, Stefanski & Zaunbrecher.
Stefanski has been a member of the Chamber since joining the firm in 2010. His Chamber involvement includes participating in the Acadia Parish Career Expo for the past six years and Leadership EXCEL’s mock trial in 2015. As a member, he has also participated in the Golf Classic and regularly attends Business After Hours.
He is an active member of AP40-Acadia Parish Young Professionals, Acadia Parish Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Ducks Unlimited and Coastal Conservation Association (CCA). Stefanski is a member of St. Michael Catholic Church where he lectors at Sunday Mass. He volunteers as a basketball coach with the Crowley Recreation Department.
Stefanski is a graduate of Notre Dame High School, earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from LSU, and completed his studies by earning a juris doctorate from Loyola University.
He is the son of Michael and Peggy Stefanski of Crowley.
•.Suzy Webb, assistant agency manager at Acadia Parish Farm Bureau.
Webb has been a member of the Chamber for the past 17 years. Her Chamber involvement includes sponsoring, attending and volunteering the Chamber’s Farmer’s Appreciation Dinner, Business After Hours, Golf Classic, Annual Banquet and much more.
She is a board member of the Crowley Rotary Club, a past participant, chairman and volunteer of Leadership EXCEL Advisory Board. She also serves as a board member and volunteer for the International Rice Festival.
Her professional affiliations include past board member and current president-elect of National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors-Louisiana (NAIFA) and past board member and president of NAIFA-Acadiana.
Webb is a graduate of Crowley High School, Life in Leadership Institute and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow.
She is married to J.C. Webb and together, they have three children and six grandchildren.
Ballots will be sent to all current Crowley Chamber of Commerce members this week and must be returned to the Chamber office by 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 18.
