Despite weather Halloween, homecoming still on

ND cancels parade, reannounces changes to Thursday activities

Despite the weather, the show will go on in Crowley that means you can grab an umbrella and plan to dress up for Halloween and/or head down to Notre Dame for its annual Chili Cook-off activities.

Notre Dame has announced that its homecoming parade Thursday afternoon was cancelled. Likewise, the Chili Cook-off and Halloween fun at the school will go on as planned with only a few modifications.

  • The Chili Cook-off will be held tonight as planned beginning at 5:30 p.m. Everyone is asked to report to the gym at that time where the pep rally will be held and chili will be served.
  • “Trunk or Treat” will become “Trick or Treat” down the North Wing of the campus beginning at 6:30 p.m. Notre Dame welcomes all little ones to come dressed in their costumes. They are asking, however, that no older students or adults take part and that no masks be worn.

As far as Halloween goes in Crowley, the city has announced Witchy Way and Trick-or-Treating will both go on as scheduled.
