Flooding in Acadia Parish: River, bayou causing new road closures in Crowley

Chief Jimmy Broussard of the Crowley Police Department has announced the following road closures in the City of Crowley:

Huval Street in the City of Crowley from Avenue I eastward

Stutes Street in the City of Crowley from Avenue I eastward

Avenue D at the bridge area by West 17th Street until Fairway Drive

Within the next hour, Parkerson Avenue from 15th Street until Exit 80 will be closed.

All of these closures are a result of flooding of roads due to the issues with the Mermentau River and Bayou Plaquemine.
