Roads closures in Acadiana

UPDATE (6:15 p.m.): Per DOTD, Interstate 10, both east and westbound, is closed from Lafayette to Slidell (I-10/I-12 split).

UPDATE (5:27 p.m.): LSP Troop I: Both lanes of Interstate 10 West near Rayne is closed due to an overturned tractor trailer. Traffic is currently being diverted onto La. Highway 35.

UPDATE (2:31 p.m.): APSO Dispatchers advise that Grand Prairie Hwy. (Hwy. 98) overpass in Rayne is frozen.

UPDATE (2:17 p.m.): Per APSO: Dispatch advises that Perchville Road near Eunice has ice. Police Jury has been notified please avoid this area.

UPDATE (12:55 p.m.): Louisiana State Police Troop I, the left lanes of Interstate 49 between mileposts 40 and 46 are open to traffic while the right lanes remain close  due to ice. Meanwhile, the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office's patrol division is advising that Highways 365 and 370 (eastof Highways 13 and 190 near Basile) have ice. State polie are currently enroute to check the highway. 

UPDATE (9:48 a.m.): LSP Troop I has announced U.S Highway 90 between Crowley and Rayne is closed due to ice on the roadway.

UPDATE (9:30 a.m.): According to the La. Department of Transportation's website, the Mermentau River Bridge along U.S. Highway 90 has been closed due to ice on the road.

UPDATE (9:17 a.m.): As Interstate 49 is being used as a detour from Interstate 10, state police are anouncing another closure along I-49. Police have closed the interstate between milepost 40 and 46 due to ice on the roadway.

Nixle alerts from various law enforcement agencies are announcing the following road closures due to icing:

- In Crowley, the John N. John Bridge is closed.

- Along Interstate 10, the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge is closed as is eastbound traffic at the Interstate 49 exit. Traffic is currently being diverted north on I-49 to U.S. Highway 190.
