Rotarians learn about Professional Home Health Services

Since 1969, Professional Home Health Services has been providing care to the Crowley area and is now looking for more people to become aware of the services the company provides.

Part of that started at the Rotary Club of Crowley’s Tuesday meeting when Elisabeth Leleux and Carlissa Tujague were on hand to discuss the company.

Professional Home Health Services was the first home health company in Crowley, according to Tujague, and the company is one of the few that pays its nursing staff hourly and not per visit.

Professional Home Health Services of Crowley employs two full-time RNs and Professional Home Health Service’s network has a 24-hour on-call network, making sure that its patients are always taken care of, no matter what time of the day or day of the week it is.

“It’s all about the welfare of our patients,” said Tujague.

Professional Home Health Services has 13 agencies across the state, helping service most of the state, excluding the New Orleans area. Each agency provides services to a 50 mile radius around each location.

Services provided by the company include many specialized programs and services like a low-vision program, pulmonary rehab, total joint replacement and diabetes management. They also have a large scope of services like post hospital recovery, physical, occupational and/or speech therapy, injections, and ostomy care, wound care and catheter care.
