GULF OF MEXICO
As of 4 p.m., CDT, Friday, Karen remains a tropical storm with maximum sustained winds at 50 mph and wind gusts at 65 mph.
Karen is located at 25.9 N, 90.3 W, moving north, northwest at 5 mph.
Karen is still projected to take a more north east turn Saturday, Oct. 5, and head toward the Florida panhandle.
