Molbert, Stover attain diplomas day prior to bowl game

Jacob Molbert and Hunter Stover (2010 Notre Dame graduates) earned their undergraduate degrees and graduated from UL Lafayette on Friday, December 19, at the New Orleans Marriott Hotel during the New Orleans Bowl Pre Game Celebration.
The following day, both four-year lettermen had the privilege of playing their sixth and final game in the Louisiana Superdome (two state championships and four bowl games) and were members of the winningest class in UL Lafayette football history, composing a 36-16 record during their four-year stint.
The Ragin Cajuns football team also became the first football team in NCAA history to win four consecutive bowl games in the same bowl (New Orleans Bowl).  Prior to four years ago, it had been 40 years since UL’s last appearance in a post season bowl game.
Jake and Hunter have been playing football together for the past 7 years and both have played an integral part of an unprecedented run during the last 4 years for the Ragin Cajuns.
Of course, leaving the university with a college diploma is the ultimate reward for their dedication, perseverance and hard work.
Jake is the son of Paul and Michelle Molbert of Rayne, and Hunter is the son of Smoke and Connie Stover of Abbeville.
Both of them express their “sincere thanks” for the endless support of their families, their respective communities, and the “Ragin Cajun Nation” in Acadiana.
