I-10 accident halts traffic

On Tuesday, July 15, a Buick Rendezvous was traveling on I-10 Eastbound East of Rayne near the Jeff Davis Overpass when the driver did not allow sufficient space to stop and struck a jeep from behind when the jeep slowed down in traffic. The SUV then entered the neutral ground and flipped several times. The female driver and a infant were transported to Lafayette General as a precaution. The crash is still under investigation.
