Rotarians select 2015 officers, set Rotary Day

Local residents will be invited to learn more about the community services and projects of the Rayne Rotary Club during “Rotary Day” events on Saturday, Dec. 6, at The Depot Square.
Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Election Day, residents will be asked to identify community projects they would like to see implemented. Santa Claus has promised to be in attendance for picture opportunities and food, door prizes and giveaways will also be offered.
Members also discussed plans to provide a noon meal for residents of Maison de Rayne and distribute thanksgiving food baskets to needy families.
The meeting Thursday morning, Nov. 20, also featured the election of 2015 officers by acclamation. President will be Ken Arceneaux, with Rose Schexnider selected as president-elect. Other officers will be Steve Bandy, vice president; Cynthia Beslin, secretary; Cheryl Rivette, treasurer; Celeste Prejean, sergeant-at-arms; and Natasha Domagalski, Claire Benoit, and Jared Lawless as directors.
