TROOPER THOMAS GOSSEN has been assigned to serve Troop I.

Thomas Gossen earns State Trooper badge

 Thomas Gossen of Rayne was one of 46 members of the 92nd. Louisiana State Police Cadet Class to recently complete 19 weeks of rigorous training at the Louisiana State Police Training Academy in Baton Rouge.
  Graduation ceremonies were held on Thursday morning, May 22, at Independence Park Theatre in Baton Rouge presided over by  Louisiana State Police Superintendent Colonel Michael D. Edmonson.    
Afternoon ceremonies included a badge pinning ceremony on the steps of the State Capitol followed by the  administration of the oaths of office led by Governor Bobby Jindal inside the Louisiana State Senate Chamber.
Trooper Gossen,  a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish, has a bachelor’s degree from USL, now ULL, and was formerly a school teacher with the Acadia Parish School Board.  He has twelve years of police experience as a Reserve officer for the City of Rayne Police Department and Acadia Parish Sheriff Department.  
He has been assigned to serve in Troop I, which covers eight civil parishes.  His family consists of, daughter, Hayley Gossen Richard,  her husband, Cory Blaise Richard,  sons, Matthew and Austin Gossen,  daughter, Emma Gossen and grandson, Brayden Thomas Richard.  His parents are Fred and Annette Gossen.
