TOTAL LOSS: The home of musician Jamie Bergeron and his mother in the Mire area, its contents and vehicles were declared a total loss. The Mire Volunteer Fire Department answered the alarm at six minutes to 4 a.m. Friday and remained on the scene until approximately 8:30 a.m., according to Chief Shannon Richard. Mutual aid was also provided by the Branch, Richard and Church Point Volunteer Fire Departments. A state fire marshal was investigating the blaze early Friday morning.
