Wirtz, Istre engaged

Kevin and Tracy Wirtz of Crowley are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter,

Bonnie Elizabeth, to Shannon Dane Istre, also of Crowley.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sondra and Tola Myers, Eva and Ray Thibodeaux and James D, Wirtz. She is the great granddaughter of Imae C. Seilhan and the late Milton Seilhan, Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Bertrand, the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wirtz and the late Mr. and Mrs. Romer Myers.

Bonnie is a 2004 graduate of Crowley High School and Louisiana Technical College, Acadian Campus, where she will earn a degree in nursing in December of 2008.

The groom-elect is the son of Wilbert Istre, Sr. of Crowley and the late Brenda Magnon Istre. He is the grandson of Ola Perry Magnon and the late Ira Magnon, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Istre, Sr.

Shannon is currently employed with J & J Exterminating Inc.

The couple has plans to wed on January 3, 2009 during a 7 p.m. ceremony at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Father Avelino Vale will officiate the exchanging of their nuptial vows.

Following the wedding the couple will reside in Crowley.
