Link stepping down as Chamber CEO
CROWLEY - After serving as President and CEO of the Crowley Chamber of Commerce since 2005, Kayla Link recently announced her pending resignation to the Chamber’s Board of Directors. Link has accepted a position at a local business and anticipates her departure next month.
“It has been an honor and a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with so many of our local business people, elected officials, and community activists,” stated Link. “I have come to better appreciate how vital the community’s involvement is to our success and prosperity. It takes the combined efforts of our leaders and volunteers to continue to grow and better Crowley and Acadia Parish.”
The Chamber Board of Directors is announcing that they are now accepting resumes to fill the position of President & CEO. Candidates should have a general understanding of the business and political environment, as well as economic development, in order to help the Chamber continue its efforts for the growth and betterment of the area. In addition to managing the office and staff, candidates should be capable of event management and promotion. Advanced organizational and communication skills are vital for all applicants, as well as marketing and computer skills.
