Leon James Smith, Sr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Cunningham CME Church for Leon James Smith, Sr., 31, who died November 4, 2012, at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point.

Viewing will be at the church from 8 a.m. until the times of services.

Burial will follow in the Rayne Protestant Cemetery.

Survivors are his loving mother, Sharlet Smith-Charles of Rayne; father, Ernest Comeaux, II and stepmother Carol Comeaux, of Crowley; a very special stepfather, Christopher Guilbeau, Sr., of Franklin; mother-in-law, Ruthie Senegal, Church Point; Clifford Senegal, Sr., Rayne; six children, Leon James Smith, Jr., Lance Smith, Katelyn SmiTH, Daeon Richard, Layla Richard, and Bricelyn Rochon, all of Rayne; a very special companion of 12 years, Joann Wheeler, Church Point; four sisters, Rachine (Michael) Smith, Constance Smith, Angelica Smith, all of Rayne, and Christie (John) Smith-Charles of Lake Charles; stepsisters and stepbrothers, Tarsha Allen, Courtney Allen, Sr., Ernest Comeaux, III, Opal Comeaux, Jasmine Comeaux, Kyron Benoit, Avery Chest, Anna Chester, all of Crowley, and Teresa Jones, Angelia Jones-Netherly, Crowley; and Crystal Gothe, Rayne; special grandparents, Vergia Yokum and Percy Smith, Sr., of Rayne; Ernest Comeaux, Sr., and the late Clara Comeaux, Crowley;

Leon was born August 1, 1981, in Rayne to Sharlet Smith and Ernest Comeaux, II.
