Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Mia Katherine Trahan, 25, who died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Kendal Faulk officiating the services.

She is survived by her parents, Janice Racca Trahan and Kendrick James Trahan of Kaplan; one sister, Lauren and husband Scot Hebert of Kaplan; her godchildren, Carter Hebert of Kaplan and Peyton Hebert of Maurice; and loved ones, Mary Beth Melancon of Kaplan, Jack Melancon of Kaplan and Christie Ashby of Crowley.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Wilton Racca; and her first cousin, Sharri Roche.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Friday, Jan. 10, from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.; and Saturday, Jan. 11, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
