Wolves, Ladies continue district play

The Wolves and Lady Wolves are in the thick of district play of the 2013-2014 basketball season.
The Lady Wolves remain perfect in district play at 4-0 with wins over Washingto-Marion and LaGrange during the past week of action.
In their 61-50 win over Washington-Marion, the Lady Wolves used a strong second half behind the efforts of Tanner Wilson who donated nine points, two rebounds, six assists and 12 steals for Rayne.
Teammate Charlesha Dugas dumped in 25 points for a game high, along with 15 points donated by Tristan Mouton and a half-dozen for Tori Carriere.
Increasing their district slate to 4-0 on Friday, the Lady Wolves collected a 63-28 dominating win at LaGrange High in Lake Charles.
The No. 18-ranked Lady Wolves of the state’s 4A rankings will host No. 8-ranked Eunice High Friday evening in what is sure to be an action-packed contest.

The Rayne High Wolves are off to a rough start of their district slate, dropping there first two contests last week.
In their opening district game Tuesday, the Wolves fell to No. 3-ranked Washington-Marion, 82-36.
In a limited scoring game for the Wolves, Peyton Larry led Rayne with 11 points, followed by Trevon Fontenot with eight, Drakkar Broussard at a half-dozen, and Byron Mouton with five.
In their second outing at LaGrange on Friday, the Wolves fell to the Gators, 68-79.
The Wolves will host Eunice High Friday evening. Action begins at 5:30 p.m. including boys junior varsity, girls varsity and boys varsity, respectively.
