Baby shower honors Natalie M. Lagneaux

With the anticipated arrival of the first child for Brady and Natalie Lagneaux, a baby shower was held Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, in honor of Mrs. Lagneaux.
Maternal grandparents are Raphael Meche of Rayne and the late Ann Meche.
Paternal grandparents are Larry and Delores Lagneaux of Rayne.
The afternoon social was held at the Meche home hosted by Mayme Suire, Beverly Walker, Stacy Schexnaider, Sarah Schexnaider, Taylor Keely, Kelli Lagneaux, Kristine LeBlanc, Amy LeBlanc, Peyton Meche, Jamie Bouy, Michelle Molbert, Maggie Miller, Jenny Ezekiel, Susan Ezekiel, Konstance Andrepont, Kim Watson, Kathy Fontenot, Cristy Aymond, Tammy Daigle, Melissa Dooley, Lisa Moody, Meagan Harst, Tara Comeaux and Charlotte Gauthier.
Guests were served a variety of refreshments, including sandwiches, seven-layer dip, meat pies, fruit and veggie tray, pinwheels, rotel dip and chips, boudin, crab dip, chex mix, brownie tray, chicken dip, meatballs, pasta salad, spiced pecans, spinach dip, peanut butter fudge, sherbert punch, and special strawberry amaretto cake.
Decorations noted for the courtesy was a clothes line of twine and pink tulle from which hung monogrammed baby onsies. Also on display were pictures of the parents-to-be, ultrasound of the anticipated new arrival, and spring flower arrangements.
For the special occasion, the mother-to-be wore a button-down, coral-tone blouse over black pants. She was presented a shoulder corsage of white hydrangea accented with twine and pink ribbon.
Approximately 120 guests were in attendance from Rayne, Lafayette, Crowley, Eunice, Church Point, New Orleans and Florida.
The special delivery is expected to arrive in March.
