John Percy Smith

Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 10:30 am for John Percy Smith, 69 who died Friday, March 28, 2014.

Interment will be in St. Edward Catholic Cemetery, Richard, La.

Surviving are his wife, Roxanne Smith; one son, Jason Smith and wife Mica; one daughter, Tammy Stutes; five grandchildren, Miles Stutes, Meredith Stutes, Brittany Smith Ohlenforst, Kennedy Smith and Jason Parker Smith; two brothers, Terlin Smith and Darrell Smith; and one sister, Joyce Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Gilton Smith and Bertha Benoit Smith; one brother, Mervin Smith; and one sister, Shirley Jagneaux.

He a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, and served as an usher at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Friends will be received Monday, March 31, 2014 from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm & Tuesday, April 01, 2014 from 8:00 am until 10:00 am at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Monday, March 31, 2014.
