Grissom, Stelly celebrate engagement in Scott
Lindsey Grissom of Houston, Texas and Derek Stelly, a native of Mire who has resided in Houston since 1998, celebrated their engagement last month in Scott. They were joined by family and friends at the home and gardens of the future groom’s godfather, Perry Stelly.
The engagement party took place the evening of Saturday, April 26, 2014 when out-of-town guests were shuttled from their hotel in Scott to the party by Good Times Trolley. Many of the guests traveled from Texas to take part in the festivities.
Lindsey Grissom graduated Valedictorian from Coleman College of Health Science last year where she studied physical therapy. She currently works for Synergy Care, Inc. as their physical therapist assistant. She attended Jersey Village High, located outside the Beltway, west of Houston. She is the daughter of Curtis and Monica Grissom. Her grandparents are Ray and Gladys Adam and Tommy and Dorothy Lero.
Derek Stelly attended Jersey Village High, also. He works for Powertherm Company as a Fabrication Supervisor. He studied welding and inspection technology at Lone Star College. He is the son of Brian and Janice Stelly and the grandson of Viola Credeur of Rayne and Dorothy Stelly of Scott. His grandfathers, Lawrence “Bee” Credeur of Rayne and Marion J. Stelly of Carencro, have both passed away.
