Classic Car/Hot Rod Show set in Rayne
The Rayne Frog Association will present their annual Frog Capital Classic Car & Hot Rod Show on Saturday, June 7, on the Rayne Frog Festival grounds under the spacious pavilion.
No admission will be charged for spectators. A $25 general admission entry fee will be charged, and a $35 pavilion space rental (spots held for the first 45 cars with paid entry). Proceeds will benefit the Daily Manna Christian Service Center of Rayne (donations of dry foods and/or canned goods accepted). T-shirts will be given to the first 25 entries.
Attractions during the two-day event include music, beverages, camping, fun jumps for the kids, and great food (no ice chests please).
The following categories are to be judged: Best of Show, Best Engine, Best Interior, Best Paint, Mayor’s Choice, Sponsor’s Choice, and Top 50.
Registration is 8-11 a.m. with judging held between 12-3 p.m. Awards will be presented at 5 p.m.
A total of 74 vehicles, both classic and sporty that spanned almost 100 years in production dates, entered last year’s car show -- get in on the fun day.
