Joseph “Jr.” Guidry

Funeral services were held on Sunday, August 17, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata for Joseph “Jr.” Guidry, Jr., 59, who passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 9:44 p.m. at the Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Deacon Tommy Adams from St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated for the services.  Burial was in the Church Cemetery.
The family requested visitation be Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. until time of services in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne.  A Rosary was recited at 6 o’clock on Saturday evening in the Funeral Home Chapel.
Survivors include one son, Joseph Tilman Guidry, III and wife, Anna of Erath; two daughters, Bethany and husband, Joshua Laviolette, of Duson and Theresa Guidry of Duson; two sisters, Marie and husband, Lursie Bourque, of Indian Bayou and Mary and husband, Ricky Meche, of Scott; three brothers, Luther, and wife, Carol Guidry, of Mire, Lubert and wife, Amanda Guidry ,of Duson and Danny and wife, Adrienne Guidry, of Church Point; and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Jr. was preceded in death two grandchildren, Russell Daigle and Anissa Carrie Langner; his parents, Joseph Tilman and Audrey T. Guidry, Sr.; and one brother, Terry Lee Guidry.
