Curney M. Leger Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, at 2 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel of Crowley for Curney M. Leger Sr., 74, who passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 4 p.m. in Crowley.
Br. Gerard Morgan, associate pastor of Assembly of God Church, will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley.
The family has requested visitation to be held on Friday, March 11, at 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. in the funeral home chapel in Crowley. Visitation will resume on Saturday, March 12, at 8 a.m. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie Leger of Crowley; one son, Pacard and wife Melanie Newman of Crowley; one daughter, Debbie and husband Mark of Marksville; one daughter-in-law, Marilyn Leger; one step-son, Patrick Guidry Jr. and Christina Broussard and her children, Bri’, Brooklyn, Terrell and Clyde, all of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Tillie, Eric, Angela, Courtney, Michael, Ashley, Blake and Jacob; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Curney was preceded in death by two sons, Curney M. Leger Jr. and Troy Leger; his parents, Rodney and Winnie Leger; two brothers, Shelton Leger and Aaron Leger; and one sister, Rudell L. Trahan.
Pallbearers for the service will be Michael Leger, Steven LeJeune, Jake Causey, Lance Morgan, Samuel Emerson, Ashley LeBlanc, Josh Morgan and Blake Deshotel.
Honorary pallbearers for the services will be Pacard Newman, Vincent Fusilier and Ronald Breaux.
