Zula Hargrave

 The family and friends of Zula Hargrave are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at the age of 89.

Zula was born in Mermentau Cove to late Joushin and Coralie Trahan on April 12, 1925. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She loved crocheting and making quilts. Her presence will never be forgotten. 

Zula is survived by her son, Manuel and wife Barbara Hargrave of Houma; five grandchildren, Heidi Keel, Darrin Hargrave, Trudy Cavaness, Shelby Hilt and Cindi Bowen.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Joushin and Coralie Trahan; and her beloved husband, Fred Hargrave.

Funeral services honoring her life will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Friday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. with Father Clint Trahan officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings beginning on Friday, Oct. 10, at 9:30 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 2 p.m.

Burial will follow in Istre Cemetery.
