Tyne D. Guidry

Funeral services for Tyne D. Guidry, 29, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Funeral home visitation was held from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m., Tuesday; and again from 8 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.

Mr. Guidry died at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

Tyne was a lifelong resident of Mermentau and a high school graduate. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He loved bubbles, loved to smile, wink and talk with his eyes. He loved NASCAR and going to school.

He is survived by his parents, Leslie and Terrell Guidry of Mermentau; one brother, Zeb Lacombe and wife Chelsea of Estherwood; his nephew, Brodie Lacombe; and his maternal grandparents, Joseph M. Trahan of Mermentau and Janet Simon of Gueydan.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Eumaia Guidry; and his maternal grandparents, Isreal Simon and Mary Vinea Trahan.

Pallbearers will be Blake and Ronnie Langlinais, Justin Welch, Joshua Lessigne, Walter Monceaux, Joey Delcambre and Jessie Guidry Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zeb and Brodie Lacombe.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Achee, Dr. James McNally, his LPN’s from MedSource and the nursing staff from Louisiana Hospice & Palliative Care of Jennings.
