Amber Michelle Alleman weds Spencer Brooks Trahan

A seven o’clock evening wedding ceremony on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette united in marriage Amber Michelle Alleman of Duson and Spencer Brooks Trahan of Scott.
The bride is the daughter of Dale and Yvette Alleman of Duson. She is the granddaughter of Earline Alleman of Duson and great-granddaughter of Mable Broussard of Duson.
Amber is a 2010 graduate of Acadiana High School in Scott, a 2014 graduate of The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and is employed as a first grade teacher at S.J. Montgomery Elementary.
The groom is the son of Duane and Sandra Trahan of Scott. He is the grandson of Lona Broussard of Scott and Lillian Trahan of Carencro.
Spencer is a 2008 graduate of Acadiana High School in Scott, 2012 graduate of The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and is empliyed as a salesman for James Hardie Building Products.
The double-ring ceremony was celebrated by Fr. Allen Breaux.
Scriptures were recited by Debbie Keil and Kathie Deusser.
Programs attendants were Chaire Alleman and Sydney Alleman, cousins of the bride.
Against a musical backdrop provided by Tammi Maturin and Joel Greco, the bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore an all-over lace wedding gown designed with a scalloped lace cap sleeve and V-neckline featuirng an illusion back and godet detailing. The natural waist was noted with a pearl and rhinestone belt.
She carried a bridal bouquet of ivory and soft pink roses with her First Communion handkerchief tucked inside.
Traditional items chosen by the bride for her wedding day was her First Communion handkerchief from her grandmother as something old, her wedding dress was something new, and a blue inscription of her initials and wedding date sewn inside her wedding dress was something blue.
Serving the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Heidi Alleman, with bridesmaids including Brandi Alleman, her sister, and Dawn Page, groom’s sister.
Junior bridesmaids were Katie Alleman, godchild of the bride, and Mackenzie Page, groom’s niece.
Bridal attendants each wore a floor-length, strapless, navy blue dress and carried a nosegay bouquet of ivory and soft pink roses.
Serving as flower girls were Payton Jeffrey, friend of the bride, and Grace Keil, cousin of the bride. Each wore a unique white, floor-length dress designed with rose petals on the cathedral-length skirt and train while carrying a pomander of ivory and soft pink roses.
Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Ryan Trahan.
Groomsmen were Drew Alleman, cousin of the bride, and John Romero, friend of the groom.
Junior groomsman was Ethan Page, nephew of the groom.
Ring bearer was Luke Ryan Page, nephew of the groom.
Ushers were Ryan Alleman and Neil Alleman, cousins of the bride, and Bryan Laperouse and Jeb Stefan, friends of the groom.
For her daughter’s wedding, the bride’s mother wore a sleeveless, floor-length dress in champagne and gold tones, while the groom’s mother selected a light gray, floor-length dress designed with three-quarter-length sleeves.
Immediately following the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds were honored during a reception held at Keith Ballroom in Broussard.
Following their wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will reside in Scott.
Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents  held Thuesday, Nov. 20, at The City Club.
